Contingency is a Halo fangame, built from the ground up in Unreal Engine and designed to emulate the classic gameplay experience, with some of our personal tweaks. Built to be a platform for those seeking to enjoy the Halo experience on PC, the project was started long before official channels became available.
While working on Contingency. I completely rewrote the menu systems and handled in-game UI such as the scoreboard and "friend or foe" icons. I also worked on weapon handling, objectives, and grenades. I worked as a generalist, utilizing mostly blueprints, but also a little C++ to create robust, networked solutions to gameplay problems and local UI elements, giving me a breadth of knowledge in shipping a multiplayer project.
